to refine what I (think) I need
I do not want bells and whistles, I do not want it to make it sound like I am in a hall or at a rock concert
I do not need to have all the inputs, I currently only have my Blu-Ray player, over Xmas I trashed the VCR (not having used it for years) and put away the Laser Disc (poor thing, need a hand to open the tray)

I think there is a home show on in Melbourne Labor day or easter, and I think they have a seperate section for electronic stuff

only aiming for 7.1,
I saw a Yamaha amp 11.2, overkill for my place

Will take a closer look at the Denon
