i do the very same thing, if im playing on my own and im after a big score and have a crap 1st ball i'll start a new game... sometimes several times in a row
I had a girlfriend once who used to say nudging the machine was cheating, she would play against me and never do it for that reason (and that she didnt know how). I used to explain that it was a part of playing pinball and she would say ohh bullshit!
i can remember a few times when she beat me WITHOUT any nudging of the games
