Disregard the price and judging the machine on the photos, it is a MUCH better effort than the POS "Best KISS since the last one I didn't sell", that is relisted every two months by another seller.

Cabinet is REALLY nice, playfield is a repro and looks nice. I like the healthy competition with the reference to the "sticker overlay crap".

Electronics - Gav - you are right, I would have soldered in a GPE rectifier board for $100. Takes less time than replacing the one or two connectors.

Not sure what the IPDB comments are referring to, but no Bally playfields were ever made in Germany. They were all made in the Bally Factory in the USA. They were producing German playfields and backglasses for EMs in the 60's. So the German "ss" machine was produced in the USA for export to the German market. As far as the "SS" in the "KISS" logo is concerned, that was outlawed in Germany, and the record company had to repackage the album covers for the German Market. The first three KISS albums were released in the USA, then they reissued the first three albums in Germany after the success of the "Alive" album (1975). KISS' record company (Casablanca) did not release any of the original logo albums into the German market, the only way they made it to Germany was via imports of USA pressings.

On face value, the effort is a LOT better than the other seller. It IS a KISS machine, but KISS collectors don't see the German machine as a "must have". So I don't think it will get near the asking price. If this game was the USA version, then I'd say it MIGHT get close to $10,000. I know some KISS fans that have that kind of money, but only for the USA version.

Great effort and MUCH better that the usual poor efforts over the last few years. At least the description is FACTUAL and not "hot air".
