One of the best games from that Era is Firepower (1980) and sounds/speech are great.

+2, Firepower is a sensational sounding game. But if all you know are late model Sega stuff or even WMS with lots of sound effects (whether good or not is open to debate) and didn't grow up with the games of these golden eras, I wouldn't bother. It's the nostalgia factor that registers high with these games for those of us that grew up with pinball IMO.
