I have heard of them having line missing type problems already......
I'd rather replace a dud driver chip on a LED DMD, than suffer whatever is wrong inside the glass-sadwiched traditional DMD's anyday....
I own a LED DMD (for my own development projects) and they're actually made up from smaller led matrix 'blocks', so, *if* a led went dodgy or dim, you could replace the 'block' (theyre available and only $10-$15 ex china).
As for the $450 pricetag for the LED DMD, i dunno, some dodgy marketing/importing hikes going on there.
I reckon i can make one for $100, might be an upcoming project
