If you miss your shot, do you get to keep playing shots while the ball is in play?

The ball drains and another is served to the tee, so you can just keep hacking away. There's a time limit (you can buy more time as well) and also a maximum number of strokes for a particular shot before (I think) it makes you move to the next hole.

OK, I vote not a pinball.
