Well I finally got around to doing the Surf Champ spinner.  Many thanks again to Wotto for the artwork, and Strangeways for the scan of the original spinner.

First step was to sand, prime, and paint the original spinner.  I found a spray paint colour very close to the background colour of the artwork at Bunnings.  Not an exact match, but very close and good enough for me.

After leaving the paint to cure for a good week, it was time to attach the artwork.  I ended up just simply using double-sided tape, so I first attached the double-sided tape to the back to the artwork, and covered the front with mylar.  I then cutout along the perimeter of the artwork, getting an exact cut for all three (tape, paper, mylar).  Then this was attached to the spinner.  The double-sided tape is very, very thin and very strong, we will see how it goes.

Lastly, the spinner was put back where it belongs, as part of my overall Surf Champ restore (which will be a thread in the near future).
