Ripleys Belive it or Not
« on: February 19, 2013, 05:48:20 AM »
Hi Guys
Some of you may have seen the very nice looking  RBION advertised on ebay lately
I have never played one but did some online research on the usual sites and it looks to me like a nice player.
Has anyone owned/played one what are your thoughts/advice? Also price wise what do you think. The one on ebay was HUO and the playfield and translite were rated by seller as a 10/10 and the cabinet a 9.5/10.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks...Tim

A very fun game. They have included a boomerang which gives it a bit of a unique aussie feel, and the dmd displays are varied n many. One of the best bunchs of unusual dmd pictures going. Sounds are great too.

I read an article which said it was meant to be a more modern interpretation of a Twilight Zone theme. It certainly has that weird n wonderful feel to it, and its a stunning looking game thats for sure. Gameplay is fun, and deep. Lightshows are terrific.

Price wise, expect to pay between $2600 and all the way up to $3800 for a mint one. People usually hold this title for a long while because it is very fun and unique with excellent playfield art n toys.

I had one and only sold to fund my Tron but great fast game you will enjoy and a nice fairly deep rule set you won't be disappointed.

Very good question Tim um um let me think  ::) I would say TOM mainly due to toys and general theme but not by much, but having said that Ripleys is great value at 3k so have both ^^^

Not a title that I enjoyed at all.
3k tops imo.

Great game, I've enjoyed it every time I've played it. It's one of those games that's deep enough to keep you coming back for more and if you have friends around who don't play much pinball then there's plenty going on to keep them amused so their going to enjoy it to.
