Quoted $154 and $110 for tempered playfield glass? Really?
« on: January 23, 2013, 11:39:48 PM »
Hi guys

Had 5 minutes spare today so I called a couple of glass joints for a quote for a new playfield glass to suit my Jurassic Park.

I can't find the thread here a while back the discussed this - sure there were Brissy suppliers discussed.

Happy to pay a little more being in regional Qld but are they trying to rob me?

Its bizzare - i've had quote from $45 to $150 from the same place with the same size of playfield glass!!!

I think it all depends on what oother orders are going through.

My average price has been around $90 though

Wow! I'd re-glass 1/2 my collection if it was only $20-$30....having said that, I haven't got any quotes from local glass companies to see what their prices are. Will have to investigate.

Thanks Guys

For $30 I can do 5 machines.

Not gonna get down BRissy for a while - assuming freight would be a killer.
Don't suppose any of you get up Rockhampton way?  (after the roads reopen)

You could probably get it sent via E-Go Transport for a cheap rate. If u can send a whole pinball machine from QLD to VIC for $120, getting the glass sent for less or even a very similar amount would still make it worthwhile to Rocky....

From memory I paid $80 from marc c late last year. Could probably get it cheaper if you look around but it was nice and easy no shopping around.
