Tech question about power plug inlet box WPC95
« on: June 19, 2013, 05:28:37 PM »
Someone with first hand experience with this may be able to provide the answer.

I want to remove the power plug socket from the metal housing so I can get it (the metal housing) chromed.

Is there any way to remove the power plug from the surrounding metal housing WITHOUT desoldering the wires?

Couple of pics to show what I am talking about. Sorry about the blurry pics, I am in the middle of a restore and took them on the fly.

No sadly not unless the wires running into the steel box inside the cabinet are lugs not soldered?
