I think Its unlikely putting the LEDs in your Sys 1s would do any harm Cam  *.* *.* they might flicker a bit though especially the GI.
They flicker in you Abracadbra because they are running on AC instead of DC voltage.

Personally, i wouldn't bother doing LEDs in my own games, mainly due to the expense but i also don't like the way they look in the older games like i have.
Putting LEDs into 17 machines??? No thankyou  *.* *.* *.* *.*

I think you can get led driver boards for these to combat the flickering leds?

I think it would be a great idea - especially behind the backglass.

My only advise is to buy the good quality LEDS www.rtbb.com.au and avoid the el cheapos on fleabay etc as I've seen many games with issues that appear to be lamp matrix issues, but turn out to be low quality LEDs

LEDs behind Sys 1 can look unreal IMHO.  I have installed LEDs in select places on both the play field (inserts) and backglass and I reckon they really make some of the grand old artwork pop.  I am not a fan of LEDs for GI on these machines but for inserts and feature sections of the backglass I wouldn't hesitate.  You still need some normal globes behind the backglass to give it some general lighting as opposed to spot lights that LEDs give off.

I put them in mine, no probs.
I used the cointaker ones and they don't flicker at all, I have never used the RTBB ones but I am sure they would be just as good.
Like Nino says, don't use the cheap Chinese or ebay ones they are complete rubbish.
