help with a logo
« on: January 21, 2015, 11:45:49 PM »
Can anyone help out as a favour or minimal $ to reproduce a logo that we have designed over here for future things like shirts, email headers, stickers, etc etc. Yes it is a pinball club sort of thing, but open to everyone in the very near future and not for profit.
The design is done and drawn with painter so it can be easily sent via email for you to have a look at.
I believe most print shops etc. want it done in vector style
I/we in WA would be very much appreciative of any help in this area.
Thanks kindly
Andy

I can do vector format logos, I'm no superstar but I can give it a go if you would like! Send your designs to lachystv@gmail.com and I'll do my best. I'm based in NSW and have experience with wide format printing. I use Adobe Illustrator which is the industry standard.

In case you didn't know the difference between Vector and Rastor (your normal JPEG, png sort of format) vector images when resized don't change at all in quality as they are a mathematical equation of lines and shapes instead of Rastor where resizing decreased quality dramatically. This is good as once your logo is done it can be placed on anything from a model train to an a380 aircraft without losing quality when resizing.

Ps although basic my "L" logo was created in vector and then converted to Rastor

Thanks heaps to Lachy and Swinks.
They both contributed heaps and had some fantastic interpretations on our original design.
The final logo design ended up being Swinksy mate.

For those of you not aware of an open pinball group and friendly comps starting up in Perth, drop me a line and maybe just maybe, you will enjoy yourself with like minded people.
We are very very new and who knows where it will go?
