Spock would be proud - Star Trek 25th Anniversary Pinball
« on: March 12, 2015, 08:02:54 PM »
Recently, Leonard Nimoy(Spock) passed away.
I am a huge Star Trek fan so it was a sad day for fans all over the world.

It got me thinking about my Star Trek 25th Pinball machine and I wondered if Leonard Nimoy and the Star Trek gang of actors incl Catain Kirk etc ever played the 25th Pinball or even were given a pinball machine from Data East for their personal use and their homes. ??

Maybe their are press releases somewhere on the Internet but I haven't found them yet.

If you haven't played a Star Trek 25th, it's an absolute gem of a game for 1991.

The audio is spectacular. The DMD annimations are very cool and the playfield is one of the best looking ever designed with brilliant colours and more shots than you could ever hope for.

I was lucky enough to buy 2 x home use only Star Trek 25ths and I couldn't say NO to buying both because they were both in brand new mint condition.

Anyway, Spock would be proud that such a cool pinball machine heavily featuring his voice overs and his picture is still bringing so much joy to so many pinball owners.

Anyone else enjoy the Star Trek Pinballs ? Some days I can't work out which machine I enjoy owning more, Star Trek 25th,s or my Star Trek Next Gen.
Both very cool pinballs.

Live long and Prosper.

Great to hear some feedback.
Yeh it's a great game. Just looks awesome.
The Playfield and its toys and Dilithium crystals never bore me.
Played it again tonight and just enjoy it more and more every play.
Thanks for your post.
