System 80 Ground Mods
« on: May 23, 2009, 02:29:16 PM »
Hi guys,

I have completed all the mandatory ground mods for my Sys80 Black Hole.  I cannot seem to find any documentation about the sound board.  Mine is an export model, so without speech and the additional power supply for the sound.  Does the sound board require its own grounding mod as well?

Marty,

I dont believe that type of Sound board which is a later System 1 board would require grounding.  They are very reliable.

I ground the sound boards on system 80s. Then every board has a common ground.

As long as it won't do any harm, I may as well.  No rush and the game is still a long way off being ready.

Anywhere in particular do you think Nino?  With my other ground mods, I've done all from the back just to make it neater.

That's fine, Marty - The solder side is fine.
