Botched Ramp Repair Fix Help
« on: July 02, 2009, 09:20:10 PM »
Hi guys, I decided to try and do something about the botched repair of my BOP*B Heart ramp though once I pulled it apart to give it a good clean and to see what exactly was broken, I don't think there is anyway around it, I need to buy a new ramp :(

Below is the problem...

The first picture shows the ramp entrance as it was when I bought the machine.
The second shows how much of the ramp plastic is actually missing.

Now I don't have the heart to re-install the botched repair to the ramp as it was because the whole thing is anchored to the ramp which is already weakened.  I'm hoping Mark will have a new Heart Ramp in one of those containers but if not, can anyone think of a way to fix the problem?

Hey thanks for the picture Narf, I actually wondered what it looked like when properly fitted.  Seeing that I have a cliffy ramp protector for mine too, I might see if I can epoxy a long piece of perspex to the existing ramp and behind the ramp protector because at the moment there's nothing there to support it and it just flaps around when the ball hits it.

Ultimately I'd like to have a nice new ramp, especially when I try to sell her at some point in the future :)

If you moved the Cliffy on your to the other side of the Wire form maybe you could screw a L bracket to the playfield and glue it to the back of the cliffy to hold it in place?

There is info on fixing plastic ramp entrance's on Marvins repair site. They use old side rails to fix up the ramp entrance.
Darren.
