Car Show Pics
« on: July 05, 2009, 05:43:06 PM »
Went to a car show today and realised just how great a job these fanatics do on these old cars!

Hadnt been to a show for a while and I was thinking how we are fanatical about getting our pinballs restore nicely - mate - look at what these guys do....

AND they allow hundreds of members of the public to 'walk amongst' thier cars - I would be crappin that someone might scratch it.

I mainly show interior shots here for the fine detail...

I could show heaps more examples but I am sure you get the idea.
How NICE is that FJ ! You can see me in the bumper  :lol :lol

Yeah some guys go to extreme lengths to make there babies look fantastic. But as with pinballs and cars you need the spare money to invest to get them to these stages.   I knew a guy who had a fantastic car but that was it didnt own a house was always behind on the bills but what a sweet car.   Thats why im in no rush to do my Monaro i really cat afford to do it to the standard id like so it can just sit there and wait.

Thanks for posting wotto the dash in the 57 looks beautiful

The guy that did the FJ didnt keep it original on the inside (commodore automatic console), but it certainly does look great. Maybe restoring/customizing cars is what ya do after/or instead pinball?

I had been doing up cars since i was about 14 very hard dirty and expensive work with very little return except the satisfaction of having it look awsome.       I still enjoy doing up cars but just not as much as i do pinballs *%*

Nice pics there Wotto, that FJ looked unreal!
Thanks for sharing mate :)

There are definitely a lot of similarities between the two hobbies, especially when it comes to attention to detail.  I shot a wedding a couple of weeks ago where the grooms brother was an insane Ford fanatic and had done an amazing resto on his old XW.  Such a pity he was a bit of a hoon, he was telling me that the cops had impounded it so many times that he's not allowed to drive it, he still does though cause let's face it he's a hoon!
