Didn't realise the $1000 was inclusive of postage
It's not supposed to be BUT believe it or not it really depends on exactly 'which' customs officer looks at your package and what they 'deem'.
I don't risk it - you also never know exactly what the conversion rates will do - you buy and pay $945 AUD but when the package arrives (due currency fluctuations) suddenly the package is worth $1005AUD - YOU'RE DONE! I never buy anything over AUD800 and I never have an issue.
