o.k   this was my best pick up  @@*

i was buying some parts at a local op,(aprox 2/3 years ago) and all these pins were sitting there in verious states,

i spy'd a totan out back(missing a dmd and a coil or 2) i asked how much  && told the best they could do is $2000 up and running,so..........  had a close look at playfield ect,was perfect, paid the money and waited for them to put back together for me,3 months later i got a call to pick up,well.......got the totan home, plugged it in all good, told the missus she could have first game, hit start, plunged first ball, hit the switch the whole pin shut down and reset, i was like wtf,,!! then it keept spiting ball's in to shooter lane!! put into switch edge test and all these switch's were on? rung op next day ask'n if he had a game on it?cuz i did'nt! no he had'nt,took back showing him what it was doing and left it with them,3 more months,2 security chips 30+hours later was told they are going to write the machine off!!
i said i still wanted it...... and how much....................bargin of the year he said, thanks for being so patient,it's yours for ......................$600, man i was wrapped!!!
i picked up totan took to a mate that had another totan who is a pin tec,3 weeks later, totan was home running  #*#
when i went over it,found that 1 coil was'nt going, replaced fuse all good, what had happened was there tec on site shorted 50v to the switch matrix and that was the coil with the blown fuse, cost to fix cpu switch matrix $400

I remember there were a number of freebies I could of had, just load em up and take em away, but of course it all seemed too hard at the time &^&

All time bestest buys would be:

Black Hole $450
Paragon $500
Playboy Bally $800
Viking Bally $500 No Backglass
Meteor $550

I live in hope of a return to the "good ole days"
