Cactus Jack's review as requested by ajlaird

I picked this one up as a part trade/cash deal.

Pleasantly suprised, shallow ruleset but game has that "simple/fun appeal"

1900 units, reliable gottlieb system 3, 8 drop targets, stand ups, 2 ramps, 2 ball multiball. Rated 8/10 on IPDB.

Three dancing Cactus.........dressed with sunglasses and cowboy hats move, dance and taunt you through gameplay.

Music is catchy, sound effects are funny and I find myself humming the tunes and repeating the quotes.

My paticular pin plays tight and snappy, needs a few minor adjustments still, and the flippers dont have that obivious gottlieb feel.

Light show is up with the best for its era, early 90's. Dont know how it will hold its appeal over time............kids love it, I would agree with comments about it being a great family game.

Thanks, Dave - if I ever get the opportunity to own one I might just take it up.

After playing a game and having a good laugh it certainly got me interested as well.  I reckon it would be real hit with the kids and a great machine to compliment any collection.

I've seen one Cactus Jack. From memory it was VERY colorful, and would also appeal to kids as well as adults. Not sure about its long term appeal, but I liked what I saw without actually playing it.
