Space invader II upright arcade
« on: November 10, 2009, 12:46:30 PM »
Hi all,

I have just picked up a space invaders II arcade cabinet.

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about them.

I have no sound & the graphics are out of registration too large & blurry. Does anyone know if there is a volume dial & where it is positioned? also im hoping there ia a dial to adjust graphics & if so the ocation of this adjustment.
Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers Paul

Inside mine - a part 3?, 3rd board timed, upright -there is a volume control board which has pots for each individual sound effect, eg ufo, base hit, invader hit etc plus one for the master vol.  I found a fair bit of info and schematics in web land, but was always a bit confusing as to which model was which.  Let me know if you can't find anything useful and I'll have a troll through my info.  Sadly my machine sits not working, but I grabbed the info thinking one day ....

I think i need to locate the master volume. I had a look but cant find it. Its probably right in front of me, lol.

If you get time i would appreciate u having a quick look through your info. I am also hoping that there is an adjustment for the graphics.

Thanks for your reply,  Cheers Paul

Hi There,

Try this site http://www.brentradio.com/SpaceInvaders.htm for manuals, trouble shooting etc. This should point you in the right direction.

Bear in mind that the SI 2 was also called Deluxe just to confuse as well. Good luck and I hope you enjoy it.
Regards, Ed

What a GREAT site for Space Invaders  ^^^

And it had a link to a site that sells these stencils ( which I thought were pretty much un-obtainable in the past ? )

If the picture is LARGE and blurry, it's more than likely your High Voltage (EHT) supply is running low.
