Apollo 13
« on: September 30, 2009, 01:46:28 PM »
Hey guys, is Apollo 13 a decent game to play?  Is it problematic?  It has 13 ball multiball, so im guessing it has a fair bit going on.
Theres one for sale in Tas so i thought its worth a look, no postage, big plus for down here.

Asking price is $3300,  i havn't seen it yet but what should you get for those dollars?
Thanks,
Andy.

I think Mark just got one in and MartyJ had a bash - sounds like he enjoyed it.  13 ball multiball sounds like a challenge to say the least :D

Make sure the moon/magnet hold feature is working.
It uses a (touch pad) sensor switch which detects balls that are held for multiball........be sure that this is functioning as well as it is expensive to replace. An Apollo that I worked on had these problems which I found out later to be quite common for this title.

The pin looks great and plays well..........................13 ball multiball is crazy but fun. Price????? wouldnt expect to pay more than $2500 for one.

I know you are probably a bit limited in choice in Tassie so to you it may be worth a little bit more than what you would normally expect seeing as you don't have to factor in shipping.  Don't really see heaps of them around but still maybe a little bit pricey - of course I haven't seen it in the flesh though.

I know Dave/Silverball had a fair bit to do with one so his comments would be very valid.

Addicted to pins.

I would pay $3,000 for one. If its in great condition.  ^^^

PUT IT THIS WAY, "THEY ARENT MAKING THEM ANYMORE" !  *.*

In a few years, alot of these titles will be in collectors hands and they wont be letting them go.look at the prices of pins 5 years ago....now, think about the prices they will all be in 5 years. I say get in now, before ya regret it !

(OR AM I JUST A MANIAC COLLECTOR WHO WILL USE ANY EXCUSE TO BUY A PIN, TIME WILL TELL...ASK ME IN 5 YEARS).  *%*

Went to look at it tonight. Seems to be in pretty good condition as far as i can tell.  PF is mylared( no! i wouldnt be taking it off *.* ), but i would say its 9/10.  Checked the 8 ball sensors at top and all came up correct and working.  Had a couple of broken plastics, 1 slingshot and a small chip under the backbox.

Other than that, not too shabby at all!  Im going back tomorrow to play a few games on it, AND pick up a Taito original stand up cab he had for $150 ^^^Been looking for one of those for a while...BONUS!!

Will take some pics tomorrow so some of you gurus can look it over.  Any particular areas i should photograph?
