Williams System 3 -6 power supply connector
« on: September 21, 2009, 09:09:02 PM »
Hi All,

I am after the female 6 pin connector that plugs into the male 6 pin connector on the power supply.

This is early Williams solid state like Firepower, Time Warp, Flash, World Cup etc etc

Anyone know where I can buy One??

Mark C has the Male end that fits on the Power Supply but I cannit find the female end.

You can use a 6-pin Female Molex 0.093 connector with solder tail pins in place of the original connector on the board.

I have those parts here if you need them.

No probs at all Dean.  ^^^

I should clarify some terminology about plugs...

Male pins ALWAYS go into Female plugs, and Female pins ALWAYS go into Male plugs.

Most people think that if you are using Male pins, then it must be a Male plug - refer above - Male pins go into a Female plug.

As I'm sure everyone here knows how Males and Females work, you only need to look at the plug itself to figure out which one is which... except for the DE and older Williams power supplies that have a Molex connector soldered onto the power supply - these are actually Female plugs, and Male plugs are the ones that plug into them.

Hope that makes sense...
