No - I was interested and asked the seller a few questions but got such vague and rubbishy answers and he wouldn't supply any better pics so I didn't bid.

Same deal with me, but I put in a small $250ish bid and figured I could use it in the garden at worst  %.%

But my gut tells me maybe it would've clean up real nice and been a steal of a buy. No guts no glory on my behalf so I'm really interested to see if that was the case. The guys pix gave no indication of what's going on so I couldn't go for brokes.

The one that went for $356?
I got it and went and picked it up yesterday.

Despite him saying there was no paint missing from the playfield, he must've been drunk or looking with the lights out because it's knackered  ::)
Paint missing everywhere due to moisture ingress form the broken glass. Most of the metal parts on the top of the playfield are rusty too.
...Oh and did I mention it was FILTHY  :D

Apart from that the backglass has a little peeling and the head box is slightly swollen  (why did they make the headboxes MDF when the cab is ply?) but the cabinet and artwork are still in really good nick.

Inside the cab is very clean and even came with an envelope with the schematics and brand new score cards etc.

I gave it a once over and bravely plugged it in - got a few playfield lights in the top left of the playfield, and a few flashes on the MPU LED but that's about it.

I hope to give it a more detailed look today.

A lot of work involved but a cool project for my first pin so I'm happy.

I'm just not sure what to do about the playfield as I've had a quick google aorund and getting an overlay or even a new(ish) playfield may prove difficult.

We'll see how we go.

Got any pics to share?

Getting a few flashes from the MPU is a good thing. Better than no flashes or locked on LED anyway.  If you can tell us how many flashes it's giving you.  We'll be able to give you an idea how to proceed.

Keep your eyes on ebay, as there seems to be a heap of Magic's kicking around.  Odds are you'll find another project game with a better playfield.
