Well done Ian. Persistence does pay. Sounds like you've got it sorted.

Got any pics?

well i have got the machine going, but there is still a lot to do, i havnt done the ground mods yet

or the up kicker mod with a pop bumper driver board, but i have stripped the lower playfield and

cleaned it and patched up the ware spots, unfortunately i couldnt get the playfield colours quite right

i printed and adjusted the colour settings and brightness etc a 100 times.

i like to get the machine running first before i pull it apart, i dont think i will go as far as Strangeways

does though, hes very thorough ^^^

cheers Ian.

Lower PF pics.

Looking good Ian. Have you thought about an overlay for the mini playfield? I just checked "Balls of steel" website but they don't have a scan. Can you scan yours and touch it up on the computer? Then maybe get it printed professionally.

Just an idea...

actually the mini PF has a mylar on it and is in pretty good condition, a bit of wear under the pop bumper

and the up kicker hole, decals wont stand out as much as the lower PF

the printers i got a quote off were going to charge $100 for a couple of stickers thats BS

cheers Ian

Yep happy to help out with info pics etc too, I've already done my HH.

Enough pix to share in a resto thread, Mick ?  ^^^

I haven't restored my HH yet, I bought it as a non working project.  The guy I bought it off cleaned and re rubber it before I picked it up.  To date I've done every mod, grounds, up kicker, re pinned connectors, cleaned and adjusted every switch and drop target, re placed original power supply with ripple free great plains one, replaced all pop driver boards with rottendog ones, replaced backglass with repro, new lower playfield spider web, used decals to repair lower playfield wear and covered it with mylar, replaced all previous repairs and hacks etc etc.

Still have cabinet to touch up.  Then to strip upper and main playfields, touch up and then clear.  Not planning to do this until I need to re rubber it.

Happy to take and share photo's of what I've done, if it will help anyone.

It's just a good player at the moment  *)*

How did your lower PF turn out with the patches, i printed and adjusted the colours and brightness a heap of time and couldnt get

the colours to match.

I couldn't get the colour right at home either.  I have a colour laser and photo bubble jet but neither of these gave me the results that I wanted.  Ended up going to a print place and having them print up the decals on a A4, results thou while not perfect are pretty close.
