Paragon is here
« on: November 14, 2009, 08:24:49 PM »
After a few weeks wait finally picked up the Paragon today.Big thanks to Tony for organising the deal and it was worth the wait.Back glass in top nick, playfield a few ball swirl marks and a couple of minor touch ups to do  but also in good condition as is the cabinet.Cleaned it up when got home as it has been in storage for a fair while.A couple of coats of wax and off we went.Everything working as it should and could not be happier. All plastics are original with no chips ect,i will replace the bumper caps and make up a new wire gate for one that is missing,no big deal there. These are so hard to get in australia in good condition so i am very happy with it.Ran into one problem though i have never had to put the wiring together on one of these so i did not know for certain what went where. As i did not want to stuff it up i rang Tony who came over and hooked it all up for me.What a top bloke so thanks once again mate.I will post some picks when i get the nephew down to do them. This pin was on the top of my wish list and it feels good to finally have one and it will not be leaving here ever.Cheers.

Glad to help mate - also happy that you have finally sourced your long desired Paragon  ^^^

What a real nice example of this game it is - easy 9.8 all round. Works sweet and just wait until you guys see the pix of Punter's gamesroom - first class.

I know what you and Jane will be doing tonight!

Welcome to the "Paragon Owner's Club" !

Congrats on your purchase. This game is getting SUPER hard to get in good condition, so well done Tony on organizing.

Can't wait for pictures - and I'm always pleased to hear about another great machine in a collection.

Thanks for all the replies everyone.I will post some picks in the next couple of weeks as i am going to put in all new bumper skirts, bodies and caps. Will also install all new drop targets.Everything on  this machine is original and it looks great, but i cannot help myself as i always replace these items when i buy a machine because it just makes the playfield look even better. All the plastics are original with no cracks or chips but the top 2 large ones are a little warped. Most people would not even care as they look good, but not me so a new full set is on its way from Marcos.I am obsessed with having a machine look as good as i can,so if these new parts are available i will put them on.I did the same when  Card Whiz arrived and after replacing everything on playfield it came up a treat.I do not need to go that far with this but a few new items can only make it look even better than it already is.Once all is done i will post picks of all the machines and the gamesroom as well.I am scared of one thing though Wotto will be coming around shortly and with his reputation for breaking machines at Rollerballs i am hoping all will be good here lol. Thanks Tony.
