An easy way to test this peach is grab a multi meter set it to HV and test if there is 110v getting to the motor when a record is trying to play.  I had to buy on for mine and it wasnt easy to find or cheap it could be as simple as a mis aligned relay switch stopping it from working test for the 110v first ^^^
