New testing for translites & backglass

My local experts are still onboard to push for new pinball product. So testing will go on through the summer months to hopefully win WMS approval & license product through Illinois Pin Ball. It's time to hopefully start allowing more product to become available to those in need & licensed through another source besides TPF. Wayne Gillard has his very productive source of product through CPR, but it's time for more stuff from other sources & its my hope that others join the cause for more product.

Are you looking at Bally backglass pre 1980 ?

Anything Bally/Williams, I would like to offer the opprotunity to do some EM or earlier backglass as a translite test for WMS. If someone has some art ready to go in Australia, please let me know. It will be either free or at cost + postage. Art translite would be rolled up in a tube.

If things worked out & looks good. Hopefully WMS would approve an alternative for this for glass that probably won't be reproduced, & it would be licenced through Illinois Pinball.

Next week my printer is going to try the first translite test with black blocking layer. What we are going to do is print the color to the front. Same as what's been done with Twilight Zone test with good results. On the backside we are going to print black as a blocking layer. The first test is a nude version (topless) of Miss World. If everything looks good many different ones could be done on demand.

There is over 100 different art files ready to go from the guys in Germany. Also if this exceptable to WMS approval, it would be an affordable alternative licenced through Illinois Pinball. It would allow custom translites either for pinball, video, or games room decoration.

Just got back the first test, it would still need some tweaking to look outstanding. But if you had no real alternative for a real backglass, or the cost didn't justify the expense this might be a good alternative method. So this might be a real good alternative for do it yourselfers, since the windows have to be cut out & I used a black sharpie to hide the white plastic used edge of windows (inside - cut edge). The translite would come shipped in a tube. Licensing for Bally/ Williams is required if they are sold, & I will ask Illinois Pinball to seek approval from WMS. There is tons of art ready to go but The Pinball Factory seems to have chilled off the supply. I hope both parties see the possibilities, WMS gives approval of this product for old pinball games pre translite pins. I will continue to try to move forward with a licensed party (Illinois Pinball).

As usual my picture taking isn't the best. The German guys have 100 + files ready to go. The goal is still to do backglass the real way if there is demand. But for 1 or a few, translites are the way to go.
