Attack from Mars on Ebay
« on: July 29, 2010, 08:20:11 AM »
Not mine, but interesting to see if gets any action given the starting price. Looks nice, and the playfield particularly so, especially around the Stroke of Luck hole which appears intact (very unusual). Of course, seeing in the flesh can often tell a different story.

Very high starting price - but the demand for this title may see a collector pick it up. Will be interesting to watch. It looks to be "as described".

I am going to go the other way with my opinion of the AFM.

Only viewing the machine in person will really give an answer. A coin door can be purchased for $55. The added treasure cove plastic and Bill Ung stuff is removable, but most would keep, and the ?? repair to the out hole looks orig, if not minor, when considering a cliffy can be added.

Anyone would be hard pressed to find a AFM these days in similar condition. Pricing aside, i dont think many would complain at having that in their collection.

I wonder if it sells. Still, a real nice machine.

My observation was that this is not original and has a story to tell one should always look in person if possible with a high grade and dollar game.

Odd things, Treasure cove back board decal installed points to playfield having been out. Bill Ung led kit installed which is good, SOL hole has been repaired and looks to be a B grade repair, some minor insert cracking, repainted coin door, GI header burn Ball drop damage LHS inlane

I do think the pricing is not far off the mark, and maybe less than it would get if started lower and inspired some competition. Bear in mind this is a 15 year old game, and if it didn't have a story to tell then I'd be suspicious! Adding that backboard decal can be done without removing the playfield (at least the one I made myself was installed in situ). This does look a very nice example, and the SOL repair (if there was one) looks neat. The SOL protector is the Kerry Stair version (I had one in mine before I discovered Cliffy's). Overall it looks pretty neat to me.

This seller is a top guy.Anyone wanting this machine should go for it.
You would be hard pressed to get similar in Aus for the starting price.
If i didnt already have one i would jump on it.
I will be at this sellers place come sunday morning ,and am keen to check it out.

If it is still there!

Bidding has ended early - maybe an offer outside eBay that he couldn't refuse?
