I think from that video that Gary seems to have lost a bit of weight.
Hmmmm....maybe he's doing a bit more worrying these days with a little bit competition on the horizon...... !@#

Theres nothing sweeter than free advertising . A good segment.

The 64 thousand dollar question is, "who told the reporter STERNS target market was 40 and 50 yr olds". ?

Maybe it is very true, when the ages of purchasers of NEW STERNS are averaged by STERN.?  Given over half of all machines are sold to the USA, perhaps its on the ball.

At least STERN is still rolling along.  ^^^

The quote must be an Americanism or something similar.

Most non pinball people I know in that age bracket simply say "there are still pinball machines" ?

If that quote came from a Stern rep, I'd be surprised that they are that stupid. They have more or less insulted the majority of pinball collectors.

I remember the classic walkman radios and the first MP3 players. They were very popular. When Apple came along with their iPod, they targetted Teenagers - something the company would never had even thought of until SOMEONE suggested an idea that was "leftfield". Nowadays - Every teenie has either an iPod or iPhone. If Stern came out with a modern idea, they would do a whole lot better. "Rolling Stones" - Who will be interested in a Rolling Stones pinball ? Rolling Stones Fans ? Wait a sec, they already own the 1981 machine.

Maybe Gary Stern believes his target market is 50 and 60 yr old rich men who want new toys, sports cars and young chicks with big boobs.?

I would be marketing to the young professional and family markets with titles like Avatar. Maybe the Rolling Stones is a title that will do well in the UK and Europe markets.

WHAT ABOUT A NEW PENTHOUSE OR PLAYBOY PINBALL ?  Hot women appeal to men of all ages from ALL countries ? It might sell really well !  ^^^

Stern should be focusing on a variety of ages NOT 40-50, pinball was about fun for all ages (wasn't it?) NOW I understand why they are making a new rolling stoned machine, He is too busy targeting older people as quoted LOL  !!!
