Thanks Belac for the voltages. Will get my friend to check those when he's over next.

vidme, hope it's something simple like a connector. At the moment I'm scratching my head until my mate can test those voltages.

Cheers!
Adam.

SUCCESS!

Was speaking to my friend about our plan of attack for the next pinball repair night and he made something twig about the F3 fuse. I remembered the fuse holder looking dodgy, so I googled it. The Gottlieb System 3 repair site said that this vertical style fuse holder often fails. I googled more and found that someone else had the same DMD problem as I had.

I come home last night and swapped the Freddy fuse holder into my machine and when I turned SFII on, the DMD lit up. It brought a tear to my eye!

After the 2nd ball, the left flipper failed. This wasn't too alarming in the grand scheme of things.

Today, I went through the tests and it failed at:
"Relay & Solenoid Test - Solenoid: 18 - Left Flipper 67". It also failed at a number of tests that ended in 67 before and after this test.

Thanks for everyone's help over the weeks.

Cheers!
Adam.
