PINBALL TOURNAMENT RULES ?
« on: July 01, 2011, 11:27:49 PM »
I wanted to know how the rules are set up for a Pinball Tournament.  !@#

Say for example there are 30 machines and say 100 people playing.

Would you have the scores for each player, on each game recorded, and then at the end of the day, work out who got the highest score per game, and give that ranking a score. (example - 1st highest score on a game equates to 100 points, second gets say 75 points and 3rd gets 50 points n so on).

Then at the end of the day, the person who has the highest point score via placings awarded, gets the trophy and so on.

What is the best n fairest way to run a competition/tournament.  !@# !@# !@# !@# !@#  thanks in advance.  ^^^

Excellent. Thanks Guys  ^^^ ^^^ ^^^

Ok, so what i learnt is that the maximum points awarded per game is the same as the total number of players. So if there is say 30 players, top score gets 30 points, second spot gets 29 points and so on.  ^^^ Thats a really easy way to run a competition. Just add up everyones points at the end of the day to work out who gets the trophies.
