Flash globes in Black Knight

Was playing my Black Knight today and thought why wasn't flash globes introduced in the design of BK, as Steve Richie's previous games Firepower, flash and Gorgar had the use of flash globes  !@#
..Just a Thought..

Probably limited by the number of transistors on the driver board me thinks.
