Translite/DMD light reflector
« on: July 30, 2011, 06:56:05 PM »
I am looking to buy a few light reflectors for my DMD games and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get them?

The ones I have seen are made of a black plastic material and is bent at roughly a 40 degree angle. It slides up under the top of the playfield glass and just sits in place, stopping the light reflecting down from the DMD display and translite onto the glass, thereby making it easier to see the playfield details and also the ball.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Jeff

You can use PDI glass, and it removes a lot of reflection as well, just that the cost is a arm and a leg to buy.

There are two alternatives around . . .

A: uses "microlouver technology film" Haven't seen this in use yet.

B: uses "light polarisation film" with mixed results depending on machine & installation.

I personally dislike the look of having a big flange hanging out in the air except maybe in the boudoir  &&
