Mayfair Amusements - Anybody purchase from them??
« on: September 24, 2012, 02:28:24 PM »
Hi All,
Has anybody had any joy purchasing from Mayfair in the US? I understand he doesn't like to ship to Aus or accept paypal, only likes a US Post Office money order....

Would like to know if anyone has managed to make a prurchase and delivery to australia...

Cheers!

Nah, had to get a guy in the US to buy it for me, get it delivered to him and then send it on to me.  Big PITA but it all depends how desperate you are for whatever they have.

Ended up using a mail forwarding service called US to OZ run by a very friendly aussie. So far very efficient and excellent communication, no fuss.

www.ustooz.com

Will try to get the BG via them as well.

Same with me. Gorgar backglass was second to none. Just painful to pay and expensive but on reflection, I would gladly do it again.

Packing was very professional too as I was worried it would break.

I've purchased several backglasses at different times and was very happy with his service and products.
As already mentioned he packs all his gear extremely well.
Just ask Steve if he's happy with payment via Western Union (he will be) and find a good shipping agent.
He'll post where ever you want in the US.
Yeah, the above will add to the cost of whatever you purchase but Steve has a lot of gear that NOBODY else does.
How bad do you want the part and are you prepared to pay the extra?

IMO worth it.
