Need pictures of Bally Champ
« on: November 03, 2011, 05:44:53 PM »
I picked up a nice Bally Champ, but it is missing the chime unit and wiring.

Have managed to track down a chime unit but it doesn't have the wiring.  Can someone please take some pictures of the wiring for the chimes so I can repair this?

Also does anyone have the schematics for this?

I have one in storage Mick that I can help you out with. Do you need the info urgently ? I won't be going down there this weekend, so it will be the weekend after. I don't know if it has chimes, but I can at least have a look for you.

I'm in no hurry.  Thanks M8.

There will be 4 wires going to the chime unit. (Black and 3 other colours) The black is common (linked) across all 3 coils. The other colours will go to the individual coils. You will need to determine which coloured wire will go to which coil.
Here's a simple diagram.

Great news.

Is it a keeper ? I love my Bally EMs and there were plenty of these made for the Euro market. I think the artwork is very cool for this era.

Yeah Nino it's a keeper.  Playfield has some wear but everything is so clean.  I'm really surprised as to how clean this machine is.

I'm going to repair the playfield and enjoying looking and playing this beautiful EM. When it's all done I'll post some pictures of this one.
