An intriguing proposition, but you are right, unless your mate regularly finishes in the top 10 he is not going to make any money. Still, it could be a great lifestyle if you don't mind the inside of aeroplanes and hotel/motel rooms, as well as the great outdoors.

He wants me to come and caddy for him for part or all of this trip, who knows where this might lead to.
It would lead to him continuing the tour without you, while you're stuck in a country you can't get out of and in deep debt....as long as he got to where needs to be....it happens all the time! "Stepping-Stoners"

Travelling around Asian countries, been there, done that, didnt like it !   *.* *.* *.*

food poisoning, ecoli in the water, no one speaks english well, always tropically hot as hell and u sweat all day every day, everyone looks at u strangely, and u miss home really quickly. dont get me wrong, the people are friendly etc, but it aint for a second as great as good old Australia.  Travelling Asia for a week is fun, the first time, after that its all down hill. Espescially if u get sick or need medical help, u better have lots of cash or a angel on the phone from the Medical Insurance company, or you end up in a living hell.

The golfing trip sounds like a good proposition for a younger person who is single without wife n kids.  Give it a go Daz if u havent been to Asia before, but I reckon after a fortnight you will be missing home real bad. I did.

I have known this guy since I was 10..we are the best of mates... I doubt it very much if he would let me get f**ked over or do the f**king over himself...I would have more chance of rooting pipa middelton than getting rorted by this bloke.
The main thing that worries me is the food...I hate the shit...stinks like cats piss and tastes just as ordinary..not big on the people....not huge on air travel either.
I have never had an urge to go to asia before for many of the reasons that Brett bought up as well as many other....just about any other place and I'd be there in a heartbeat.
Thnaks for thr input.
