Frankenstein is a great game, huge display, and plenty to do, many modes, 3rd flipper. Great looking title. A keeper to me.

Still cant go past Last Action Hero for a great all round challenging game for the $$.

Behind every garage door could be a pinball collectors

Thanks for the suggestions guys but maybe I should change it a little what pin under $2k has the deepest rule set and is most challenging?

Yes I agree that's why my 3rd pin might be a dear one Stern, Jersey Jack, or a dear collectable.
Tried for Roadshow the other day on EBay but missed it.
In saying that I rented mutant ninja turtles and Indiana jones for my 40th didn't like them as much as my 2 pins. And I rented these recently for a party and didn't like em as much as my 2. See pic hard to believe I know.

It's like the Datsun 200b that you own is more fun than a rented Ferrari.

I would have to say a deep rule set game under 2K would be broken.

The Shadow is a great bang for buck game with a great ruleset.

Hmm, a game with a complex / deep ruleset and challenging at that end of the price scale you may struggle a little.

Pinball Magic is a reasonably complex game, but would be around the $2500 (give or take a little) straight out of a container.  There seems to be quite a few of late coming in the containers.

Its not loved by everyone, so on the odd occasion you can pick them up cheap.  Other times serious collectors hang onto them long term.

CAPCOM's by far are the most solid and well engineered machines.  They play like nothing else you've ever seen and once setup and shopped correctly should be a very solid game.

I'd save another $500 which would give you a greater choice in titles from the 90s

An example of this is a CFTBL recently sold in brisbane for $2,500
Pinballs in my collection Elvira, Stern Grand Prix, Bally Corvette, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Judge Dredd, Black Rose and Data East Guns n Roses.

I'd say shadow or wcs94, World Cup soccer is more family friendly that anyone can get into, but shadow has a slightly deeper rule set

I love my Pinball Magic, very solid and lots to do. Most plastics and many parts seem to be readly available for this game also, which is always good.
