Sea Hunt pinball
« on: February 10, 2009, 08:02:36 PM »
I caught up with retropin (gavin) today and we got talking aqbout pinball, pinball and just more pinball!!!

I mentioned to him about a pinball machine a mate of mine has in NZ, at a guess I thought its circa 1960's maybe???

Anyways here's a few pics of this machine.

Did any of these type of pinballs arrive in australia?? what era are they from, any info would be great.

I think jeff from Adelaide, who is a member here but hasn't posted yet, has one of these. Might have to email him to find out if he still has it.

No photos but Clay's site has it listed as:

Sea Hunt, Allied Leisure, 1972, a shakerball game. A square cabinet with a pinball playfield and two handles. The playfield was designed where you could shake it, as the the playfield was movable. The playfield was free-floating.

I think Jeff used to own a couple and may still has one. http://www.pinballswanted.com/

I used to watch the TV show but wow never seen one of these before. At our local arcade in the seventies was a submarine stand up game ,any one remember this one? when no one was playing it there was a sonar sound that kept running.

I was wondering how the flippers were activated - apparently the joysticks have a flipper button on top.
