Funnily enough, just had an update as I was reading this thread: apparently it is "taking a little longer than we expected to reach a decision. We're actively working on your case and will notify you on the next steps as soon as possible."

I should note that I received the following on 28/1/12:

"We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your
favour.

We were able to recover $36.00 AUD, and this amount has been credited to
you. Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted."

Just checked the Paypal account and have $36.00 credit! So a win on this one, so to speak.
