An odd way to make dull games interesting...
« on: July 03, 2014, 07:15:06 PM »
I've just been talking to a couple of guys who make custom balls (Modmypin Glo-balls and Back Alley Creations Black Pearls), and one of the things that came out of the conversations is that you can use custom balls as a kind of mod to make machines more fun to play by making them faster or more difficult.

It's not something that occured to me before - I always though of custom balls as just a simple way to bling your pin. Anyone else use custom balls to revitalize a machine?

Anyway, you can read about it at http://pavlovpinball.com/an-odd-way-to- ... teresting/

Cheers!

Paul

I've always thought that an innovation would be to use different coloured balls for different modes of a game - like the powerball in TZ, but 4 different colours that define each mode.

Avengers would be the perfect candidate for mode coloured pin balls.

Thanks for the article.

Powerballs for speed has been done TZ ,AvatarLe

How about Crazy ball? A ball that is slightly out of balance that wreaks havoc during certain modes?
