Open Letter To The Pinball And Arcade Community
« on: May 13, 2012, 12:31:29 PM »
Dear Arcade Community Collectors and Enthusiasts,

My name is Ken and I an admitted arcade game collector. I currently own a
Star Trek: TNG pinball, a cocktail Ms. Pacman, and Vendo 110 Coke Machine.  ::)
Growing up during the 1980's and witnessing the incredible expansion of game
systems, computers, arcade games and pinball machines was an exciting time.
Today, we have lost much of the arcade vibe of yesteryear, when arcade games
and pinball machines graced corner stores, neighborhood pubs and public
venues. The presence of these great machines has all but vanished from our
modern day.

Fortunately, a single organization has committed to preserving arcade
history. The International Arcade Museum(501(c)(3) non-profit, (arcademuseum.com),
is the largest center for the historical preservation of
amusement and coin-operated machines. Since they only receive funding
through donations, I wanted to find another way to support their
preservation goals and build something unique for the gaming community. A
specialized place where gaming enthusiasts from all over the World could
conduct business with those in their own community.

After many months of development, I am proud to present

501(c) is a section of the US Internal Revenue code.

I am guessing it is US based.

Hello,

@swinks : OnlineArcadeAuction.com is a US based auction site. However, we encourage everyone to join the community and post your items for sale along with your wanted ads for items you are looking for. This is an international site specifically for the Arcade, Pinball and Coin op community.

Please visit the International Arcade Museum site to learn more about their cause to catalog and preserve arcade, pinball and coin op machines.

Thank you,
