EBAY listing VIPER NIGHT DRIVIN ending tonight
« on: September 14, 2012, 03:36:39 PM »
Guys,
There is a ebay listing for a VIPER NIGT DRIVIN Pinball by Sega 1998 model ending tonight and its only sitting on apx $1500.
They usually go for arond $3500 to $4000. Only 1100 made. Fast game with great flow.

I did a review on the one I own some months ago. Link below.

If someone scores this machine at a decent price I am sure someone would be happy with it. It seems to be in reasonable condition from the ebay listing. Just search VIPER NIGHT DRIVIN PINBALL etc on Ebay. I am not sure if this one comes with the original 4 x glow balls or not cause the listing says 4 x chrome balls etc, but best to check with the seller. Perhaps this is why the current bid price is vey low !

Glow balls are absolutely impossible to buy and have been that way for many years, but I do have a NOS spare set x 4 glow balls which I was very lucky to get over 4 years ago if someone was to want to buy a set etc, but u dont have to have the yellow glow balls and std silver can be used etc. Glow balls just finish the package/game very nicely as per factory std.
I forgot to see who was selling it but its on the ebay add somewhere.

Anyway, at the right price it might be a good score for a AP member.  Photo below of one cleaned up from the IPDB.

EBay ad indicates it does not come with glow ball. I believe these are unavailable.

I believe I have the only NOS set available literally in the world !
Took me 3 years to find them and I got them from a ex-Sega employee in th USA who had them brand new sitting in his office desk.

Cost me a ridiculous amount, but at the time I needed them for a second Viper Night Drivin machine. My brother didnt buy the 2nd Viper so I have the balls left over. When I bought my first Viper machine, it didnt have them, but luckily a guy in the USA was wrecking a Viper that was accidentally left outside during a business move and the machine got rained on and completely ruined cause the glass was off. I scored a set from that wreck which are now in my machine.

If anyone from AP buys a Viper Night Drivin without the balls and they have some $, I have a NOS set glow balls.

Will be needed for that machine.  Unfortunately as the whole game is pretty much designed around them & its theme its like Funhouse without Rudi.

I hope the buyer is fully aware about the status of the glow balls & the game and is aware.

You can get away with not having them, it doesnt make or break the game, but it just finishs it off nicely.

If u played one with glow balls u would notice it, if u never played one with glow balls and only the std balls, u wouldnt miss the effect. The effect during blacklights, even with std silver balls is still very good.

It SOLD for only $1975. I am assuming someone bid alot less cause it was missing the balls. Someone saved a good $1500 at that price.
Room financially $ to even buy a set of glow balls off me.lol to finish it off nicely.
