Just finished watching The Shadow, worst movie I have seen in the last few years, even worse than 'The Human Centipede' http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi4206561049/ at least I wanted to see the end of that movie to find out what happens.  The only reason I made it through to the end of the shadow is because Williams went to the trouble of making a pinball for it.  What was Williams thinking, surely the sc ript was almost as shit as the movie  
At least they made a great playing pinball machine from it (other than the backglass   )

I can think of way worse films than Shadow or Human Centipede.
The Twilight series and those god awful sex and the city films come to mind instantly, anything with Rob Schieder in it is also worthy of mention.

I think the pin is underrated with some great innovations, it is definately one of, if not the best, bang for buck pin around now that WH20s are going up in value.  If it wasn't for the terrible backglass I think it would be a much more sort after game, definately not a beginners pin, it is fast and you need to consider what you are shooting for but has some smooth combos and a very cool ball lock the battlefield is good also.
If I had more room and the money I would definately own one.

Never seen the movie but recently purchased the machine. Great title really fast machine with heaps too shoot for. I find that I need to play a few games in a row before I get into sink with machine play but after 2 or 3 low scoring games I always manage to get the 600,000,000 which is the replay score setting on my machine set on 5 ball play. If you get vengence mode then super vengence you can sometimes get the replay from just one ball. Battlefield and iner sanctum also great features of the machine but I have to agree with most people that the backglass art isint too pretty, oh well this may be the reason that it is still a very affordable and value for money machine.

Yes, I remember that film when it was released and thought it a pretty poor job. Not a huge fan of the pin - fun enough, but one of those "way underrated" games in danger of becoming over-rated. Fun, but not special.

shadow, demo man, johhny M. way before stern decided that average movies would make good themes bally/williams was all over this. a grade game for mine and only watched the movie due to having the game. does help you understand certain things like why the game says "the sun is shining but the ice is slippery".

It would have to be REALLY bad for me not to watch a superhero movie.
From memory The Shadow wasn't that bad, I could certainly name a few that were worse.

The Shadow is one of THE best B/W games produced in the 90's. Very deep rule set. And the film aint that bad either. It's a movie remember...fiction...not fact...use your imagination. And as a point of interest, the Bally logo can be found on the image of the thunder cab printed on the playfield between the flippers...look hard...look deep into the hearts of men and you will find. This title has been a real sleeper for many years now and I once had this in my collection only to realise I did miss it after sale so have decided to purchase another.

From all the pinnies I have sold, including TOTAN, CV, TZ, IJ, TAF, MB I miss THE SHADOW the most. Food for thought.
