Stern errors and menu buttons.
« on: June 28, 2012, 01:17:36 AM »
Sorry if this is a dumb question but i will be buying my first Stern machine on Saturday and i want to be sure it has no errors or faults before i take it.

I have a Bally so i know it shows a credit dot and shows the "enter menu for error report" at startup if there is an error. Are Sterns exactly the same? Credit dot and warnings at startup if there is an error?

I assume it is the same but i figured it cant hurt to ask.... #@#

Also i noticed that stern only has 3 buttons on the coin door as opposed to Ballys 4. Exit, Back, Forward, Enter on Bally i get, could someone explain how the 3 buttons work on a Stern?

I am sure i could figure it out while im there but i would rather be confident in what i was doing..... *%*

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Swinks, It is a post 2000 game. I must have missed the fact it had 4 buttons.  !@# I would say the green and red stood out and i missed the black button completely.

After reading the manual (Thanks again) it is clear it works exactly the same as Bally machines.

Only question i still have is does it warn you of errors at start up? Credit dot? Any help would be appreciated.  ^^^
