Saw one for sale in the US for $8000 ? !@#

Yeah they go for that second hand. And anywhere from $9000 for a NIB! Not cheap.

If you love the game i would go for it if you can find one within your budget, that game is only going to get rarer and by the sounds of it more popular.

It is my favorite pin and i just missed out on one last week for $7500. Wanted to cry, i have been looking for one of these to come up for sale for the last 5-6 months or so and that was the first one i have seen. I replied within an hour saying i will take it but i missed out on it.

Yes, as people want the latest and greatest or their feeling for the game changes, a pinball will always pop up down the track. The problem is waiting for that time!

Can someone please explain to me how container sellers go selling Stern machines in Oz? Is the power issue covered as they import their machines from Europe?

What are the actual "dangers" of running a converter board? As pinball hobbyists, we're putting replacement boards in our machines all the time. How is this any different?

Adam.

most of the Stern container pins are from the EU
and there is no issue re Htz

its the US domestic games ( late model sterns with the S.A.M system) that come here that you need the converter board for,  thats the way I understand it

Good advice i feel. Looking into it i am not prepared to take the risk on the import vs what it will cost overall.
