Let There Be Rock - And There Was Rock
« on: May 21, 2012, 05:45:41 PM »
I’d just like to let everyone know about the great service I got from Joe from Kids Just Wanna have Fun and from Lou, AKA Jukeola.
First we need to go back to when AMD asked for EOI for the LE ACDC’s. I put my name down with Bruce as interested. I have bought NIB from AMD before and found them very professional and accurate in all my dealings. Anyhow, I was away on holiday when the machines were released and on my return I noticed Bruce had sent me some emails to see if I still wanted one as they were selling fast. By the time I got these messages and made a decision I was too late (Totally and 100% my fault not AMD).
Several weeks went bye and with all the hype around I was really regretting getting on board so I began to ask around to see what was available. I saw FDD unboxing a Let There Be Rock on Youtube and new immediately that I MUST HAVE ONE.............it’s an illness.
One of my contacts was Lou as we had done business before and he called me with the news that, “I might be able to help you”. Well my ears pricked up, my heart skipped a beat, I started to sweat, and then I almost had a bloody heart palpitation I was that excited.......like I said, it’s an illness :) LOL.
Lou arranged a deal that involved several machines changing hands right around the country and finished with me getting a LTBR from Joe at Kids Just Wanna have Fun in Perth...WOW. Thanks Lou I greatly appreciate your help mate.
Next I got a call from Joe asking me how I would like the pin shipped from WA and for my details. I passed this info on and for the next couple of weeks I received frequent updates on my machine from Joe and his staff. There were delays in shipping his container that were out of his control but he still took the time to contact every customer to update them on the delay.
Well finally the day came when I opened my LTBR with Boz, Damo, Sparky, Darksoul and Crusty and I was so excited I probably should have been sedated. Inside the carton on top was a gift from Kids Just Wanna have Fun which was a special edition Monopoly- AC/DC version. What a great gesture. Not only that but I even got another call from Joe the next day making sure that everything went well and that I was happy with my machine and their service. Needless to say I am a very happy customer.
After giving the pin a good old thrashing I am totally impressed and know that I’ll ever move it on. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I’ve loaded it up with Gold Bling Pinballs which look superb and will be adding undercab lighting and a few other mods. High score to date is 153M but I am more concentrating on songs and modes than score at the Moment.
Cheers Gav ()

Nice one Gav, as Nino said it's great to know there are good guys in the industry. It amazing what a difference it makes when someone goes to the trouble of communicating with ther customers and following up with good service.  ^^^
You'll have to post all of us non Acca Dacca owners some pics once you've finished moding it out.

Mine gets played everyday to Gav how many games has yours clocked up? I'm up to 656 it's a shame it resets the game counter after each code update :-)
