Wanted: Back playfield lock channel from early Bally SS
« on: July 06, 2012, 10:59:49 AM »
Hi everyone,

I'm looking for this part for a Bally Fathom. In the parts catalogue its called a Supersize Back Playfield Lock Channel (P-566-1). Here is a link to the page in the catalogue (scroll down to the bottom).

http://www.planetarypinball.com/reference/partsmanuals/BLY_Parts_1982/index.html#/79/zoomed

Here is a picture of the part installed in a Fathom (from the High End Pins website). It's the square-section bar which runs across the back of the cabinet just above the rear edge of the playfied, you can see it at the top of the picture.

It's in quite a number of machines. As far as I can tell it appears in some Bally games from 1979 to 1983 (possibly earlier and later). Williams machines from around the same time had a similar part but I'm not sure if it is exactly the same.

Any help in tracking down one of these would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, SV.
