My TFTC Saga Continues!! Adjusting Power Scoop Kicker?
« on: September 27, 2012, 09:18:43 AM »
Hi All

The scoop / hole assembly on my TFTC is inconsistent with its kicks.

Is there an art to setting these up?
I'm regularly getting the ball kicked out for a centre drain.

I've got a cliffy on the way so I'll be doing somework on it soon.
What else should I be looking at?
New Sleeve?
New Spring?

Thansk

on my Tales from the Crypt, I found that you can loosen the whole assembly, and turn the scoop kicker slightly left or right and get away from the middle drains. If the coil and mechanism is weak, it could account for centre drains because the ball is only shooting out at say 70 percent, or it could just be a simple left or right adjustment if everything is still working to its correct strength.
Loosen the assembly off a little and turn the whole mech slightly left or right, then tighten. Sounds like a small rebuild is probably required. Sounds like its a bit weak if its inconsistant.
It should be very simple. I did the same when i added a cliffy to my Tales Crypt machine.

More TFTC Issues!!!! Adjusting Power Scoop Kicker?
« Reply #2 on: October 02, 2012, 12:01:21 PM »
Hi All

I've gone and played a quick game this morning before getting ready to do some tweaking......

The shaft in the VUK has blown the stubby end off (metal).
I'll get some pics up.

A few questions.

Is the coils likely to be damaged?
I would have played a few minutes before realising something was up.
ANy thing else that may have been damaged?

Also - as per my previous post re the ball scoup - is it going to need the same VUK kit?  Same parts as here?
