Dr Who, ball sticking

I have just acquired a Dr Who where the ball gets stuck below the lowest bumper against a rubber.
The manual, page 2-48 shows two rubbers (A &C) at this point but mine only has one. I can't work out from the diag. how this actually works.
 If anybody has this pinnie, can you help by telling me how this is set up.

Don't always take the "Rubber Guide" as gospel. Sometimes they just look or feel right. I only used the one rubber in that area - not two. From memory, it was not even the size in the "rubber Guide" - I just used what felt right.
