Hi
« on: November 19, 2012, 09:04:14 PM »
Hey guys I currently own 2 pins, a Williams blue chip and a gottlieb cactus jacks. Fj was the first pin I ever played until we had our take away shop in the late 80s early 90s. The first two we had there were road kings and getaway. The wife has the bug aswell so its happy pin days at my place. Thats my story. I look forward to asking lots of questions and may be answering some also. Thanks

Welcome to Aussie Pinball!!

Can't recall playing Blue Chip, but Cactus Jack is a fun game.

With a wife with the bug you'll be the envy of a lot of us who have ones that just tolerate them, or like mine, who thinks it better than drugs or gambling (just! ;)

Show your Mrs a Creature from the Black Lagoon - I've come across a lot of women......
who seem to like that game for some reason........

Where are you located?

I'm in Adelaide. The wife seems to have her eyes on funhouse. I don't seem to come across many pins in the wild around here all I've found recently is star trek, judge dred and Ac/dc le(cracker game).

I have a Funhouse - brilliant game in every way - sweet shot map, great sounds, and best toy on a pinball ever - gotta love Rudy!!

Blue Chip is an excellent Williams EM - One of the more "collectible" titles.

2nd that ! Blue Chip was the 1st pin I ever bought , played it to death and only sold it earlier this year to make room for something else . Great game IMO. its just the theme that sucks somewhat.

I need more room ! and more $$$

I have actually clocked the machine but unfortunately when you do that you no longer have a high score unless you keep going past a current one! So the high score on the machine is up around 99 million. Extra ball resets to EX when scored which I think is factory settings. My strategy is to accumulate extra balls via the LH ramp and to avoid the RH ramp.

Ahh Cactus Jacks, I used to have one of those a number of years back. I have fond memories of me and my mates playing it 'till the wee hours of the morning on many occasions..... until my wife sold it on me  !!!
